What You Can Expect from a Transformational Breath Session

What happens in a session depends upon what is ready to come forth within you.

As your facilitator, I will be present throughout the session, guiding you through the Transformational Breath process. Sessions are held in a safe, nurturing, private setting, and usually last about 1 1/2 to two hours.

First, I will do an analysis of your breath to see how your breath pattern may reflect patterns in your life (and vice versa) and determine ways to open your breath to get as full and deep a breath as possible.

Then, depending on your health, we may begin the session with some lively movement to music to raise the energy (kundalini) and increase your breath.

Second, as we discover areas of constraint or tension inhibiting the breath, we’ll work together to release them. As your breath expands, you take in more oxygen to nourish all of your cells,  giving you more energy and supporting your body’s own natural healing abilities.  Your abililty to take in air, to inhale, is indicative of your ability to accept good in your life.  During the session you may experience various physical sensations such as dry mouth, tingling or temporary tightness in your body as the energy moves within you.  In some cases, there may be a feeling of nausea.   All of these sensations are temporary and are signs of movement allowing for greater opening and clearing.

In the process, you may experience different emotions that may or may not be related to a specific incident in your memory. Through breath, sound, movement, and safe physical touch, these emotions come to resolution.   Most people feel lighter after their sessions and more positive towards their own life, or they may have resolved some past trauma.   Many people have said they’ve received answers to questions – sometimes about specific situations, sometimes about life in general.

Third, as the subconscious clears you may become more aware of your inner higher consciousness.  On an overcast day, the sun is still shining even though we can’t see it.  When the clouds clear, then we see the sun that’s already there.   Higher consciousness is not something we need to get.   It is already present within us.  As the clouds of our subconscious clear, we get to see more of it.  Breath awareness usually allows for a greater connection with Spirit.  Occasionally, during a Transformational Breath session, some people have had visions of being in touch with angels or spirit guides or some other form of non-physical consciousness.

…each breath we take is filled not only with the nutrients and energies we need for life, but also with the expansive, open quality of space. It is this quality of spaciousness, if we allow it to enter us, that can help us open to deeper levels of our own being and to our own inner powers of healing.
